Summer Markets Around The City

Jul 08, 2021

It’s that time of year again - when locally grown fruits and veggies fill the displays at markets. Here are some you have to check out!

Local food is an investment in the future. By supporting local farmers today, you are helping to ensure that there will be farms and food security in your community in the future.

Plus, the short travel distance from our fields and farms to your table, ensures high nutritional quality. You really just can’t beat locally grown products! If you are one of the growing numbers of people who want the best nutrition possible – drop into one of the local farmers’ markets in the area.

Guelph Farmers’ Market

Every Saturday, you’ll be able to enjoy extremely high-quality products and reasonable prices. As a centre for the purchase of such local fresh produce and other foods, the market has a long and community-oriented history. During recent years the market has expanded its selection of food products which now includes a wide variety of organic, health and slow food products.

Aberfoyle Farmers’ Market
Every Saturday until October 30th,  you can enjoy local, seasonal goods just outside Guelph. You’ll enjoy fresh-picked produce, crafts, fresh baking, and preserves.

Rockwood Farmers’ Market

The Rockwood Farmers’ Market (RFM) serves local growers and consumers by providing a venue for local growers to sell their goods and access for consumers to locally grown and produced foods. The RFM brings the community together and supports community development while supporting local entrepreneurs, and provides training and volunteer experience to youth and adults.

Mosborough Country Market

This market began in 1999 as a small stand selling homegrown sweet corn on the family farm. They still grow our own sweet corn and pumpkins today, but they have also added many other products by working with local farmers and neighbours to help provide visitors with the freshest and best tasting products available anywhere.

Follow their Facebook page for the latest details.

Storm’s Farm and Bakery
Strom’s Farm & Bakery is a second-generation farm that started in 1978. In late July to fall they pride themselves on offering a unique farm experience and fresh baked goods.
