Carl Laidlaw is charming farmstead found between Guelph and Brampton. This family farm has been around for 7 generations and has seen its fair share of farming types - from sheep and pigs to dairy, and now, 100 acres of apple and pear orchards.
The apple picking season starts Labour Day weekend, and the farm boasts many other attractions such as wagon rides, farm animals, pumpkin patches, and a sunflower field!

If you enjoy picking here this September, you’ll want to take note of the address. They also have pick-your-own strawberries in June!
Williams’ Orchards
William’s Orchards started as an empty cornfield in Milton, Ontario, in 1983. Today, the farm is home to over 1500 apple, pear, and plum trees. Pick-your-own is only available on weekends, starting September 3rd. Still, prepicked, fresh fruit is available every weekday from 9 AM - 4 PM.
Chudleigh’s Entertainment Farm
This is an excellent option for families as the property has multiple playground areas, farm animals, and nature trails. There are also several spots to stop for a bite to eat, such as The Wood Shed BBQ or The Silo Bar. Most importantly, pick-your-own apples started on August 18th!
Applevale Orchards
If Chudleigh’s was too high-speed for you, Applevale Orchards would be a perfect alternative. This picturesque orchard is solely owned by Paul Borcsok and his wife Gizi - with the occasional help from their sons. This is a dog-friendly (remember your leash!) farm that allows visitors to mix and match different sizes of fresh apples and pears. Their growing season ends in mid-October after Northern Spy and Russet apples are out of season.
